Apacheta: Room for Growth at Governors Island

New York Latin American Art Triennial at Governors Island (2025) Apacheta is a participatory installation inspired by the Andean tradition of building stone cairns to mark journeys and give thanks. Reimagined as a contemporary monument, made from reclaimed materials gathered in Brooklyn, my new home. Apacheta is a space for connection and reflection honoring the quiet strength of those who migrate, resist, and rise again.
